The venerable and once-proud Commodore computer brand has been sold by its Dutch owners to a Beverly Hills, Calif.-based digital content distributor for 24 million euros ($32.7 U.S.).
Tulip Computers NV of the Netherlands signed a letter of intent Wednesday with Yeahronimo Media Ventures, a U.S. firm that distributes digital music, and sells real-time access to sporting events and concerts. The deal gives Yeahronimo “full control of the brand Commodore in order to further develop a worldwide entertainment concept,” said Tulip in a statement.

In memoriam, Jef Raskin 1943-2005: Computer scientist who strove to make the Apple Mac more user friendly – and designed aircraft wings.
As a programmer, interface designer, writer and consultant, Jef Raskin devoted his working life to finding ways to make computers more usable. One of the earliest employees at Apple Computer in the late 1970s, he pushed the company to build an easy-to-use personal computer and led the Macintosh project in its early stages.

April 8, 1994 Kurt Cobain was found dead.
It’s hard to believe it’s been over 10 years since he died. I was still working at KNAC back then… “Pure Rock 105.5fm… if it’s too loud, you’re too old! The station from hell… I know… I live next door!”
Oh and it’s now the New Moon for all my tree huggin’ hippie friends ;)
