Supergroup on VH1

Earlier today I was watching VH1 on my local cable network and they showed a sneak peak for a new show called Super Group airing on Sunday May 21, 2006 at 10:00 PM EDT.

The concept is they take five seasoned Rock Stars who descend on Las Vegas, Nevada to form a band and save Rock and Roll.

Sounds pretty cool I’m thinking because Rock and Roll does need to be saved. The catch? None of them know who their band mates are ahead of time.

This show should be good. I love rock and roll and they have a few of my favorites in the line up: The Motor City Madman Ted Nugent, Former Skid Row front man Sebastian Bach and Anthrax’s Scott Ian. So far, so good.

They also team up with drummer (Led Zeppelin heir) Jason Bonham and Biohazard’s Evan Seinfeld to live together, form a band, write new music and perform a concert in just 12 days.

I don’t know much about the last two guys but with Ted’s crazy solos, Scott Ian’s pounding rhythm guitar and Sebastian Bach’s screaming vocals, it just has to be totally heavy metal madness!

Just finished watching Motley Crue’s new video and right before they announced live from L.A. that:

MOTLEY CRUE REUNITES WITH ALL ORIGINAL MEMBERS AFTER MORE THAN SIX YEARS TO ANNOUNCE “RED, WHITE & CRÜE TOUR 2005… BETTER LIVE THAN DEAD,” PRESENTED BY VH1 AND VH1 CLASSIC.

Shows in L.A. will be February 2005 sometime.

Neatness at Walgreens

I just got back from Walgreens… I needed more powerful medication as this head cold is really kicking my ass.

Anyway, as I walk into my local Walgreens heading to the back of the store, I hear over the in-store intercom Tom Sawyer by Rush. How cool it that? The late night staff at Walgreens likes rock music while they work.

I just took some Day Quil. Hopefully it will help me feel better. I went with the non drowsy formula as I’m already doped up on Benadrill.

Ok, off to chug some orange juice. Yay vitamin C.

Tonight I went to Guitar Center so I could play around on some new guitar equipment. Here I am jamming away having a great time playing some original music of mine and also some old Metallica riffs and some ass hat comes up to me and says “Hey, can you play Stairway to Heaven?” I stop playing Whiplash (Metallica), look up at him and say “Have you not seen Wayne’s World?” He replies “Well yeah, it’s a favorite of mine.” so again I look up at him and say “NO STAIRWAY!!!”

So I was going through another hard drive of mine and I came across a Flash video called “Enter Napter” which was all over the net back when Metallica was bitching about Napster and their songs being downloaded in MP3 format.
