I just finished watching Episode 1 of VH1’s Supergroup which I posted about last week.
The show starts off with five Rock Warriors who descend on their spectacular new Vegas digs and meet their new band mates.
First to show up was the Motor City Madman Ted Nugent, then Jason Bonham, Biohazard’s Evan Seinfeld, Scott Ian of Anthrax and last but not least former Skid Row front man Sebastian Bach.
Both Scott Ian and Sebastian Bach get to live out their childhood dreams by being in a band with Ted Nugent but Evan resists Ted’s pull toward “Old Man Rock” as he put it and the two bump heads during rehearsal. Ted could so kick Evan’s ass. Hehe.
I learned a bit of Skid Row history watching the show tonight. Come to find out, Doc McGhee who was the manager for Skid Row fired Sebastian Bach in 1996 for his wild, in-your-face arrogant attitude that attracted media criticism.
Here’s the shocker, Doc McGhee is the manager for the Supergroup, so of course Sebastian and Doc were also bumping heads. I never knew what happened or why he wasn’t in Skid Row anymore. Now I know and knowing is half the battle :)
The only person who didn’t seem to have any issues with anyone was Jason Bonham. I’m thinking he’ll be the level headed person in the show to help keep the peace. We shall see.
It looks like there will be a fair amount of drama with this new show but I’m looking forward to the next episode which will air next Sunday.
