Mozilla Fixes 24 Bugs In Firefox

Get FirefoxMozilla Corporation updated its Firefox browser yesterday evening to patch a mega-batch of 24 vulnerabilities, the bulk of them tagged “critical.”

Firefox 1.5.0.2 provides native support for Macintosh with Intel Core processors, and stability and security enhancements that are part of the ongoing program to provide a safer Internet experience for Firefox users.

Mozilla recommends that all Firefox users upgrade to this latest version, so if you use Firefox, which you should be, go grab the latest update.

Microsoft Plans Two Patches Next Week

Reading my daily tech reports, Microsoft has announced it will be releasing two patches next week. They always release patches the second Tuesday of the month. I like to call it update Tuesday.

The updates will patch Office and Windows XP. Any of my readers who use Windows, be sure to grab these updates next week, your computer is depending on you.

Microsoft Issues Critical Security Bulletins

Microsoft on Tuesday released a trio of security bulletins, all tagged as critical, two for Windows, the third for older editions of Microsoft Word.

The July list of vulnerabilities and patches may be a fraction of June’s even dozen, but they’re no less important to patch, said Mike Murray, the director of research at vulnerability management vendor nCircle.

Mozilla Foundation Unleashes Firefox 1.0.5

July 13, 2005

The Mozilla Foundation Tuesday updated its Firefox stand-alone browser to version 1.0.5, fixing several vulnerabilities that have popped up since the last minor upgrade two months ago.

Firefox 1.0.5, which has been in testing for several weeks, can be downloaded from the Mozilla Web site free of charge.
