Sometimes a boring office setting can really awaken the urge for a change of scenery. If you are already quick to sport a restless spirit, then a sedentary workplace could be your worst nightmare. Some of us just need to be free! Free to set our own hours of operation, free to develop our own sense of self in the world, and free to travel the world searching for new experiences. You can even use traveling as an opportunity to build your knowledge.
If you’re interested in pursuing this sort of lifestyle enhancing career, then you’ve come to the right place. Here is a quick summary of a few of the most manageable positions that will allow you to travel and explore the world while still pursuing a career.
Become a traveling nurse
Getting yourself into the medical field will always be a career field that is in need. People always get sick, unfortunately. People always get old. If you like taking care of people, but still want to travel for a living, become a traveling nurse. You basically sign up for a position that moves around to wherever the need is the highest. You may work at one hospital for a couple weeks, and then your assignment will change. Your employer will then send you to the hospital that needs you the most, wherever that may be. The average salary of a traveling nurse is over sixty thousand dollars a year.
Dig up dinosaur bones
Anthropologists and archeologists make very good money in their careers. With an average salary of almost sixty grand a year, playing in the sand just became an excellent way to make great money. If you’re particularly interested in studying culture and people in general, these career roads will require that knowledge to proceed. You will have the opportunity to travel all around the world, and discover new inside knowledge of all types of people. This career requires a bit of schooling, but it’s so worth it if this is an interesting subject to you.
Ride around on a cruise ship
This is probably one of the most fun positions, and it requires the least education. Becoming a cruise ship employee isn’t hard. Ships are consistently looking for people who can handle the job, seeing as though it takes you away from home and out into the sea for months out of the year. If you like to travel, this is the job for you. You can be a camp counselor, and entertain the younger cruisers. You can be a cook. You can work in sanitation for the ship. There are hundreds of positions on every single ship. It wouldn’t be hard to hop aboard.
