Big wedding or small wedding, make you wedding extra memorable by starting it like a vacation. While not everyone gets to take a honeymoon following their “I do,” if you plan it right there are a few great ways to start your marriage right by planning your wedding and vacation together.
Some vacation weddings may be a little costlier than others and you may find that some of your guests can’t afford the trip, but you need to remember that your wedding is about you, so plan accordingly. If you plan far enough in advance people will have time to save up.
Go On A Cruise
Getting married on a cruise ship can be an amazing experience. Since cruise ships have so much to offer, you’ll be able to have everything you want for your wedding, from food to fun. Not only can you see exotic destinations, but you’ll have room and board and even entertainment all in one inclusive vacation.
Cruise ships offer plenty of room for your wedding party and guests. Just remind them to bring their bathing suits and cameras.
Hit The Strip
There are many reasons why people run off to Vegas to get married. Maybe they don’t want a big wedding, or maybe they are just wanting to get away from it all to show their love for one another. Whatever the reason, Vegas is home to many weddings.
Since there is no wait from license to marriage, and you can find chapels and caterers on every block, Vegas is the quick and easy vacation wedding destination. Plus, you can squander your wedding gifts of money playing slots afterward (or maybe get rich).
Visit Another Country
Getting married in another country may be your dream come true. Maybe you want to get married in a castle that is part of your family history or maybe you just love to travel and want to start your wedding in someplace completely different than your own home country. Whatever your reason, getting married abroad isn’t always easy.
You definitely need to start early and do the research to make sure that your wedding will be legal in your own home country. You also want to make sure you know the area and are planning your wedding someplace safe, and someplace that will have all of the amenities you need. Once that’s all set your wedding can go off without a hitch, and will start off with the travel bug that will hopefully keep your relationship lively and adventurous.
Once your wedding vacation is over don’t let the travel bug leave your relationship. Take time once a year to travel and explore the world, and the world around you. Vacations give you a much needed break from work, and you can learn much while visiting other countries, museums, and even the simplest tourist attractions.
