Everybody loves to travel, right? Alright, maybe this isn’t exactly a true claim. In fact, did you know that only 30% of American citizens have a passport? This is a stark contrast to the 60% of Canadians, and 75% of people from the United Kingdom.
Studies say America is so low on the percentage scale because the United States really has it all. From the mountains, to the coastlines, to the cities, Americans really seem to have no need to travel outside of the country to meet their wanderlust desires.
Realistically, who says you need to leave the United States to capitalize on your traveling experiences? Sure you’ll encounter amazing cultures upon going elsewhere, but ultimately, America is the great melting pot. A lot of the experiences you could want might be available right within US borders.
Here are some ways to get the most out of your travels, even without leaving the shores of the good ol’ U.S. of A.
See The Sights
Sure places around the world have some pretty spectacular things to see, but why spend the money and effort when you haven’t even seen the sights that are right in your backyard? America is full of breathtaking sights that all vary drastically from one another.
You could spend one summer on the road, hit all of the sights and come home feeling better about knowing what your home country has to offer. Once you’ve done this, you can feel at ease about traveling to unknown places and experiencing everything the world has to offer back.
Explore in Luxury
Maybe you’re a luxury traveler. That’s great. Luxury is available all over the world, but what’s special about America, is that there are so many options to choose from. Consider buying a timeshare with a company that offers luxury establishments wherever it is you could dream of going.
Being a member of places like this offers a lot of perks, and is often less expensive than renting a typical hotel every night. With timeshares and luxury hotels, you really feel like you’re home away from home.
Eat the Food
As mentioned before, America is the melting pot of the world. Many cities offer an authentic taste of other countries. If you love foreign food but not the price of airfare, simply go to any large city, walk down main street, and take your pick of cuisine to enjoy.
Not only do some of the best chefs in the world reside in America, there are also unlimited options for you to enjoy. Heck, don’t feel like going out for a fancy dinner? Simply stop by one of the many authentic food trucks that are perched right outside your luxury timeshare.
