What is it? Think iPhone, but bigger. Think iPhone but can do more. Think mobile phone, but with the capacities of a real computer and a BIG screen. In coffee table size format.
Forget touchscreen. Think video capture and analysis of what you do.
Think whatever Apple Inc. was dreaming of, Microsoft just patented and presented it.

I’m pretty sure the surface is nothing at all like a phone and was never m,eant to be. And I’m also pretty sure multitouch computing has been around before iPhone was ever dreamt up (since the 80’s), so your comments about Microsoft stealing Apple’s ‘dreams’ are a bit unfair and misguided.

It would be great to find out what real world applications this Surface technology will be used for. Someone just needs to invent warp drive technology and we’re on our way to building an actual starship Enterprise! ;)
